Glendale, CA (April 2, 2024) 66-year-old Cynthia Dudley from Azusa was killed on Easter Sunday after being rear-ended on Foothill Boulevard. The fatal accident occurred right around 3:00 p.m. at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue in the area of La Crescenta-Montrose in Glendale.
It was the afternoon of Easter Sunday as Dudley drove her sedan through Glendale. Without any warning, she was suddenly rear-ended by another vehicle. The force from the collision caused Dudley to lose control of her vehicle. She went off the road at a fairly high rate of speed and slammed into a tree, reports indicated.
The Glendale Police Department hurried to the scene where they found Dudley’s vehicle on the side of the road, against a tree. The car had been seriously damaged in the collision and debris littered the area. Paramedics rushed to the sedan and found Dudley with fatal injuries. She was, sadly, pronounced dead at the scene and the Los Angeles County Sheriff-Coroner was called.
The driver who rear-ended Dudley’s vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with police officers. They were not injured in this fatal collision that claimed Cynthia Dudley’s life. Police officers blocked the intersection of four hours so they could thoroughly investigate the accident. They are determined to understand what caused the vehicle to rear-end Dudley’s sedan, setting off this horrible chain of events that ended in a fatality.
