Spring Valley, (May 15, 2024) A community mourns the sudden and tragic loss of 53-year-old Delmy O’Gara. The grandmother was leaving a birthday party on Friday night, May 10th, when she was killed in a hit-and-run collision. It all transpired on Highway 94, just past Federal Boulevard. Family and friends remain in shock following this horrible accident.
Delmy O’Gara was driving home from a birthday party on the night of May 10th, but she never made it home. Initial reports indicated that her family was able to trace her cellphone to see where she was. To their surprise, it showed that she was motionless on eastbound Highway 94. They decided to drive to the location, just past Federal Boulevard, and take a look. They parked on the shoulder and got out of the car to look over the guardrail and saw O’Gara’s shoes. They then noticed O’Gara’s Kia Forte and found her lying in a ditch.

They called 911 and waited for emergency personnel to arrive at the scene. Authorities called the coroner, as O’Gara had been killed in the collision. Sadly, with her family present, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers said it was obvious she had been in a collision with another vehicle and they gathered evidence from the scene to try and decipher what happened on Highway 94 on the night of Friday, May 10th.
