DUI Crash Leaves 5 Injured, 2 critically, In Las Vegas

One killed in two-vehicle collision in Pala on SR-76, near the Orange Grove Energy Power Station.

Las Vegas, NV (September 10, 2024) A multi-vehicle collision in Las Vegas on Tuesday night left five people injured. Two of those five sustained critical injuries in the collision. It happened at approximately 10:45 p.m. at the intersection of Desert Inn Road and Boulder Highway, according to reports. Officers believe the accident was caused by impairment.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found several damaged vehicles blocking traffic at the intersection. They found five people who were injured, two of whom were in critical condition. Paramedics rushed the two to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. While speaking with those involved, officers determined that the accident was caused by intoxication.

Tow trucks were called to the scene to remove at least one of the vehicles and the highway remained closed for hours while crews cleaned up the scene. A lot of debris covered the roadway and crews worked as fast as they could to remove it all. They have said that this accident remains under investigation.
