Glendale, CA (April 2, 2024) – A tragic collision on the Ventura (134) Freeway in Glendale resulted in the loss of 35-year-old Isaias Morales Bairan’s life early Tuesday morning, according to California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:53 a.m. on the westbound freeway near Glendale Avenue, where a white Honda Civic and a semi-truck collided, causing significant damage and blocking the middle lanes of the freeway.
CHP Officer Michael Nasir informed City News Service that upon arrival, officers found the wreckage of the vehicles obstructing traffic flow.
In response to the accident, the CHP issued a SigAlert, resulting in the closure of four lanes of the westbound freeway for approximately two hours. This closure facilitated the investigation into the cause of the tragic collision.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified the victim Tuesday as Isaias Morales Bairan, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
