Four-Car Fountain Valley Crash: Police Catch Burglars

Multi-vehicle collision on the 680 Freeway in Fremont causes injuries.

Fountain Valley, CA (July 11, 2024) A multi-vehicle crash occurred in Fountain Valley on Thursday afternoon. Authorities responded to the scene at Heil Avenue and Bushard Street. Apparently, the accident came at the end of a police chase that was happening that afternoon, and it seems likely that the chase prompted the collision.

The collision involved four vehicles. It’s not clear exactly what time the crash occurred, but people were receiving medical treatment around 1:10 p.m. Footage of the accident shows a black sedan with immense damage and two other cars on tow trucks.

The investigation into this crash is ongoing.

Update: The four people who were injured were suspects of burglary. They were arrested after attempting to flee the scene and were treated for their injuries at a hospital. While the other cars involved were quite damaged, thankfully, no other injuries have been reported.

The burglars’ charges included residential burglary, possession of burglary tools, conspiracy to commit a crime, possession of stolen property, and felony evading.
