Northridge, CA (August 28, 2024) Four vehicles collided on Monday morning, August 26th, 2024, leaving four people injured. Two of the victims became trapped inside their vehicles, officers reported. The accident took place on West Parthenia Street at the Corbin Avenue intersection, just before 8:00 a.m.
It was approximately 7:50 a.m. when four vehicles suddenly collided in the 19700 block of West Parthenia Street. The four vehicles came to a stop in the middle of the roadway, at the intersection of Corbin Avenue, according to reports. Two people were trapped inside their vehicles and debris and glass covered the ground.
The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene and found the two people trapped inside their vehicle. They used special tools to free the victims, according to reports. In all they found four people with injuries. Reports indicated that three women, ages 20, 24 and 50 were sent to a nearby hospital, via ambulance, for treatment. A 33-year-old man also sustained injuries but he refused medical care, officers reported.

Officers had to call tow trucks to come to the scene and remove the damaged vehicles. They are working to determine what caused this four-vehicle collision in Northridge, as well as who was at fault. Crews worked for quite a while before all of the debris was removed from the scene and the intersection could be re-opened, reports indicated.
