Fresno, CA (September 10, 2024) A head-on collision occurred in the area of Firebough in Fresno on September 8th, 2024. The crash left two people with serious injuries at the intersection of Oxford Avenue and Nees Avenue.

It was the middle of the night in Fresno as vehicles traveled, following the glow of their headlights. A 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV, driven by a 17-year-old boy, was heading west on Nees Avenue. At the same time, a 2014 Toyota Sienna, driven by a 21-year-old, was traveling east on the same road. Reports indicated that both vehicles were traveling at approximately 60 mph, when the Tahoe suddenly veered into the eastbound lane. The two vehicles slammed into each other, head-on, around 12:25 a.m.

The teenage driver was helped from the vehicle and placed into an ambulance. Officers then helped the 21-year-old out of the other vehicle and, they too, were loaded into an ambulance. Both drivers were taken to a hospital in the area to receive treatment. Reports indicated that both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident, which saved their lives.

Officers are investigating this accident and working diligently to determine what exactly happened on that stretch of roadway. Both vehicles had to be hauled from the scene and crews worked for quite a while to remove all of the debris and glass from the roadway.

Our team at Accident News Now wishes full and quick recoveries to both drivers injured in this Fresno accident. If you or someone you care about has been affected by this accident or one similar to it, our team of legal professionals can help you take the next step.
