Visalia, CA (November 14, 2023) – At least one individual was injured on Saturday, November 11th, in a serious DUI collision on Walnut Avenue in Visalia, California. According to news source FOX26, the accident was first reported just after 11:00 a.m. at the intersection with Ben Maddox Way.
The Visalia Police Department reported that 47 year old David Alvarez failed to stop at a red light at the intersection and collided with two oncoming cars and one pedestrian.

Paramedics were quickly called to the scene to assist anyone that was injured. The pedestrian struck in the accident had sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Fortunately, the occupants of the other two vehicles did not report any injuries.
Officers investigating on scene found that Alvarez had been under the influence of drugs at the time of the accident and had a previous suspension due to DUI. He was later arrested and charged with DUI.
Police are continuing their investigation into the DUI collision on Walnut Avenue.
