Modesto, CA (October 11, 2023) – A 59 year-old man was killed on Tuesday, October 10th, in a tragic pedestrian accident on Standiford Avenue in Modesto. The incident took place around 10:45 p.m. near Sherwood Avenue.
According to reporting from the Modesto Bee, the victim was walking North, crossing Standiford avenue when he was struck by a Honda Civic driving east. The man suffered major injuries and was rushed to the hospital. Sadly the man succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

The 21 year-old female driver of the Honda was arrested by police under suspicion of driving under the influence at the time of the accident. She has been charged with vehicular manslaughter.
