Lancaster County, CA (June 11, 2024) 35-year-old Marisa Franco was tragically killed in a multi-vehicle crash at Avenue J and 255th Street on Sunday night.
At around 10:24 p.m., at least two vehicles crashed on East Avenue J and 255th Street East. Marisa was discovered in a black Toyota sedan, and according to the person who called the California Highway Patrol about the collision, Marisa Franco had been a passenger in the car.
Strangely, another car was found about 300 feet away from the road. This vehicle’s rear window was broken, and its ignition was punched out. Authorities believe this indicates someone had robbed the vehicle and abandoned it. They also believe there could have been a third car that fled the scene. Police are still working to discover what exactly happened this dreadful night.
Sadly, the Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics pronounced Franco dead at the scene at 11:06 p.m., according to Officer Erik Larsen.
