Bakersfield, CA (July 30, 2024) A multi-vehicle collision occurred in northwest Bakersfield on Monday evening, July 29th. Reports indicated that the collision left two people with significant injuries. It all happened at the intersection of Hageman Road and Allen Road at approximately 6:45 p.m.
The intersection of Hageman Road and Allen Road was backed up in all directions on Monday evening, following a collision, reports indicated. For reasons that are still unknown, multiple vehicles collided at the intersection in northwest Bakersfield. The damaged cars and the debris that ended up littering the intersection, caused issues for motorists that evening, according to reports.
Dispatchers began receiving calls around 6:45 p.m. The California Highway Patrol arrived at he scene and found the intersection blocked by the damaged vehicles. They hurried to the vehicles in search of anyone in need of medical attention. They found two people with injuries, one of whom had suffered a serious injury to their leg and another who had several broken bones. Both victims were placed inside an ambulance and taken to Kern Medical, officers reported.
Investigators took statements and gathered evidence at the scene. They are working to determine what exactly caused this multi-vehicle accident at this northwest Bakersfield intersection. They are also determined to figure out who was at fault for this collision. Officers requested tow trucks to remove the damaged vehicles from the scene and motorists were encouraged to avoid the intersection as debris was cleared from the roadway.
