Fresno, CA (July 13, 2024) A collision involving multiple vehicles occurred on Highway 99 in Fresno on Friday afternoon, July 12th. The vehicles collided near the Olive Avenue off-ramp, just before 4:00 p.m. Paramedics were called to help one person who had sustained injuries in this accident, officers reported.
A gray Honda, a blue Nissan and another vehicle were all on Highway 99 in Fresno when they suddenly collided. The vehicles all ended up in the center divide, following the collision, according to reports. Debris littered the highway and caused traffic issues, officers reported.
Upon arrival, officers found at least one person with injuries and called for paramedics to come to the scene. One of the vehicles was no longer mobile, following the collision, officers reported. The injured person was taken to a local hospital, via ambulance, to receive medical attention for non-life-threatening injuries. No serious injuries were reported.

Police officers with the California Highway Patrol began investigating the scene following the three-vehicle accident. They gathered evidence and took statements from witnesses, as well as those who had been involved in the collision on Highway 99. They requested a tow truck to come to the scene and remove at least one of the vehicles from the roadway once their investigation at the scene was complete. Crews cleared the debris that had been left behind off the highway, allowing traffic to flow normally.
