Burbank, CA (June 18, 2024) A chaotic rollover collision on the 134 Freeway in Burbank left one person hospitalized on Friday, June 14th. Witnesses described the collision as something out of a Hollywood movie, according to reports. It occurred just minutes before 1:00 p.m. at Alameda Avenue and sent one vehicle flipping end over end, according to witnesses.

Vehicles drove on the 134 Freeway in Burbank on Friday, June 14th, with no issues. Just before 1:00 p.m., a blue Mercedes began speeding along the freeway. Witnesses said the vehicle was weaving in and out of traffic and driving erratically. The driver of the Mercedes suddenly lost control of the vehicle and it slammed into a white SUV. The driver of the SUV then lost control and crashed into the corner of a dump truck that was also driving along the freeway. The SUV then began to flip end over end with debris and glass flying everywhere.

A witness at the scene pulled over onto the freeway’s shoulder and immediately called 911. Other drivers on the freeway, said to be good Samaritans, also pulled over and ran to give aid to the SUV driver once the vehicle finally came to a stop. Witnesses told officers that the accident was like watching something in a movie, but it is much more surreal in reality.

Emergency personnel arrived the scene and paramedics hurried to the SUV where several good Samaritans were still helping the driver. They found the driver with injuries and carefully place them on a stretcher. They were loaded into an ambulance and taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officers reported.

Officers investigated the scene and spoke to those who witnessed it all. They are working to determine what exactly happened to cause this accident on the 134 Freeway in Burbank. Thankfully, no one was killed. This entire situation could have played out much differently.  Officers called a tow truck to come to the scene and remove the wreckage that was once the SUV. It took crews hours to remove all of the debris and glass from the freeway before traffic could resume, reports indicated.
