Chatsworth, CA (November 13, 2023) – At least one individual sustained serious injuries on Sunday, November 12th, due to a major car accident on DeSoto Avenue in Chatsworth, California. The Los Angles Police Department reported that the accident took place at approximately 12:54 near the 10300 address.
According to police reports two vehicles collided on the roadway for unknown cause. The impact caused one of the drivers to lose control of the vehicle and crash into a fire hydrant and a light pole before coming to a stop.

One individual was trapped in their vehicle after the crash, necessitating an extraction by fire fighters from the Los Angeles Fire Department. The trapped individual also sustained serious injuries in the accident and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Los Angeles city maintenance crews were later called to the scene to repair the broken fire hydrant and lamp post.
