It was just after 8:00 a.m. as vehicles headed along Highway 99 in Lemon Hill. At approximately 8:17 a.m., near the off-ramp for Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, three vehicles collided. The vehicles blocked lanes of traffic, causing delays, according to the California Highway Patrol traffic log.
Emergency personnel hurried to the scene and found the three vehicles, all with damage, on Highway 99. Debris was flung across lanes of traffic like confetti and officers had to direct traffic, encouraging motorists to take an alternate route around the scene.
