Sacramento, CA (October 22, 2024) One person suffered injuries in a two-vehicle collision in the South Oak Park area of Sacramento on Monday morning, October 21st. The collision occurred on Highway 99, near the off-ramp for the eastbound Fruitridge Road off-ramp. The collision happened mere minutes after 8:30 a.m.
The morning commute was well on its way as traffic grew heavier in Sacramento. On southbound 99, two vehicles suddenly collided in the South Oak Park neighborhood. The vehicles stopped in the middle of traffic on the southbound lanes of Highway 99, blocking traffic and causing delays.
Emergency crews arrived and found the two damaged vehicles sitting on Highway 99. Officers began directing traffic away from the scene as paramedics checked both vehicles for anyone in need of medical assistance. Reports indicated that one person was found with injuries, however, it has not been disclosed if they were transported to a hospital or treated at the scene.
Officers with the California Highway Patrol continue to investigate this accident in an attempt to uncover what happened. They are also determined to piece together who was at fault for this accident on Highway 99 in Sacramento.
