Victorville, CA (October 17, 2024) A collision involving multiple vehicles occurred in Victorville on Monday afternoon, October 14th, 2024. The vehicles collided on southbound Interstate 15, not far from Bear Valley Road. It happened at approximately 12:48 p.m. and left one person with injuries, according to reports.
Traffic flowed smoothly along southbound Interstate 15 in Victorville on Monday afternoon. Suddenly, several vehicles collided for unknown reasons, blocking traffic and causing a standstill on I-15. Reports indicated that at least 5 vehicles were involved in the collision, including a semi-truck hauling a trailer. The debris from the collision also caused traffic hazards on the interstate. Officers reported that Amargosa Road and Mariposa Road were also at a standstill as vehicles attempted to exit the freeway.
First responders arrived at the scene and found one person with injuries. However, the victim declined medical attention, according to reports. Officers requested tow trucks to remove most of the damaged vehicles from the freeway. It took crews a while to clear the southbound lanes of debris following the collision. Detectives are working to not only determine what caused this multi-vehicle collision, but who was responsible for it.
