At the Ygnacio Valley Road on-ramp to the southbound lanes of the freeway, three vehicles suddenly collided. A white sedan, a silver SUV and a blue SUV were involved in the accident. The blue SUV came to a stop, facing the wrong-way at the center divider and both the no. 1 and no. 2 lanes were blocked by the wrecked vehicles, reports indicated.

The California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene along with paramedics and found one person with significant injuries and was transported to a local hospital for further treatment. Investigators worked the scene and gathered evidence. They took statements from those involved in the accident, as well as witnesses.
