BUTTE COUNTY, CA (June 3, 2022) – One person was killed in a deadly crash on Highway 32 and Meridian Road in Butte County on Wednesday.
According to Action News Now, the accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. and caused the closure of the intersection for several hours.
Two vehicles driving toward each other – one heading westbound and the other eastbound – collided at the intersection and the driver of the westbound vehicle was killed.
The condition of the other driver is unknown.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, and the circumstances involving the accident are still under investigation.
It is currently unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
