Forestville, CA (August 29, 2023) – A person was tragically killed on Sunday, August 27th, in a hit-and-run on River Road in Forestville. The incident transpired around 7:30 a.m. near Rio Vista Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the victim and two others were walking along River Road after a fishing trip. A dark-colored SUV, which they guess to be a Buick, collided with a male pedestrian injuring him severely.

One of the other fishermen attempted to confront the driver of the SUV, later described as a white woman, but the driver quickly fled the scene.
Paramedics from the local fire department arrived to help the man, but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The police are working hard to investigate the hit-and-run on River Road.
