GARDEN GROVE, CA (November 29, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed in Garden Grove tonight after being struck by a vehicle.

Garden Grove Police Department officers responded at approximately 6:51 p.m. to the intersection of Chapman Avenue and Medina Drive where they learned the pedestrian was walking in the middle of the intersection on Chapman Avenue and was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound whose driver never saw the victim, said Sgt. Nick Jensen.
Orange County Fire Authority paramedics responded and attempted life- saving measures but the pedestrian died at the scene, Jensen said.
Alcohol or drugs are not believed to be a factor in the collision, police said.
The pedestrian’s gender and age were not immediately known.
