Placer County, CA (September 24, 2024) A two-vehicle collision on Grass Valley Highway in Placer County left one person with injuries. It happened on Monday morning, September 23rd, just after 7:00 a.m. Officers reported that the collision occurred just north of the town of Auburn, near Lone Start Road.
As vehicles drove along Grass Valley Highway in Placer County on Monday morning, two vehicles suddenly collided. The reason for this accident remains unknown, but reports indicated that the vehicles not only blocked the highway, following the collision, but a field of debris also caused traffic issues.
The California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene and found the two damaged vehicles in the middle of the highway. They quickly checked the vehicles for anyone in need of medical attention. They found one person with non-life-threatening injuries. At this time, it isn’t known if the victim was transported to a hospital or treated at the scene by paramedics.

Officers gathered evidence and took statements at the scene before tow trucks removed at least one of the damaged vehicles. Crews worked as quickly as they could to sweep up the debris that was left on the highway from the collision. Officers continue to investigate this collision in an effort to determine not only what caused it, but who was responsible.
