It was 12:30 a.m. and they were about the make their way through the intersection of East Market Street and Williams Road. As they went through the intersection, they collided with another vehicle.
Emergency crews arrived and found the officer with serious injuries. He was taken to a local hospital, via ambulance, to receive treatment. However, the medical team at the hospital has reported that he is expected to make a full recovery. Tow people in the other vehicle sustained minor injuries in the collision and were treated at the scene.
