Reno, NV (June 25, 2024) A collision in a Reno, Nevada parking garage sent one woman to the hospital on Monday afternoon, June 24th. The collision also sent one of the vehicles hanging over the edge of the second story of the parking garage. The accident occurred near Roff Way and involved two vehicles on the second floor of the parking garage.
It was Monday afternoon, June 24th, in Reno as vehicles slowly drove through the parking garage near Roff Way. Vehicles moved at a slow pace as the drivers tried to find an open parking space. For reasons that are still unknown, two vehicles collided on the second floor of the parking garage. The collision sent one of the vehicles into the guard rail and the front of the vehicle hung over the edge of the second story of the parking garage.
Emergency crews quickly arrived at the scene to find the vehicle hanging over the edge of the second floor of the parking garage. Fire fighters found one person with significant injuries following the accident. They were taken to a local hospital, via ambulance, to receive emergency care. Reports indicated that the person’s injuries were non-life-threatening and they are expected to make a full recovery.
Officers had to close Roff Way as they investigated the scene and officials used special equipment to get the vehicle away from the garage’s edge. Officers still do not know exactly what happened on the second floor of that parking garage, but the investigation is ongoing. Officers are also determined to figure out who was at fault in this collision.
