(La Mesa, CA) A hit-and-run driver crashed into an RV in La Mesa.

At approximately 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, the La Mesa Police Department responded to an RV crash that occurred near the intersection of Pasadena Avenue and Spring Street.

According to police officials, a vehicle lost control and crashed onto the roof of a nearby residence before continuing forward and slamming into the rear end of a parked RV. The impact caused significant damage to both the home and the RV involved in the crash.

At the time of the incident, a man was asleep inside the RV. He suddenly awoke from the force of the collision but, fortunately, did not suffer any injuries, authorities confirmed.

The driver responsible for the RV crash fled the scene before officers arrived. The La Mesa Police Department has launched an investigation and is actively searching for the suspect.

Authorities urge anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has information about the suspect’s identity or vehicle to come forward.
