Huntington Beach, CA (September 13, 2023) – One cyclist was killed and two others injured on Sunday, September 10th, in a series of bicycle hit-and-runs in Huntington Beach. The accidents took place very near each other over about 45 minutes, starting around 10 p.m.
An unknown vehicle hit a man riding a bike on Warner Avenue and Edwards Street around 10:00 p.m. He suffered only minor injuries and was able to share his report with police and stated the collision seemed intentional.

The second accident occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Edwards Street and Brad Drive when the vehicle hit another cyclist and fled the scene. He also suffered minor injuries.
The third cyclist was riding on Heil Avenue when he was hit around 10:45 p.m. This collision was more severe and the man died from his injuries, despite life saving measures. The identity of the victim has not been revealed.
From witness testimony, police are looking for a black Toyota sedan with a damaged front end. They are asking for any leads from witnesses or cameras in the area.
