Rancho Cordova, CA (November 3, 2023) – At least one individual was sent to the hospital on Wednesday, November 1st following a massive seven-car crash on Highway 50 in Rancho Cordova, California. According to the new source, ABC10, the devastating crash took place at around 4:30 p.m. in the area near Sunrise Avenue.
The California Highway Patrol reported that a man driving a was Toyota Tacoma pickup at high speed when he suddenly swerved right, colliding with a Subaru Forester in the adjacent lane. This caused both vehicles too lose control, the truck then went off the road and up a the dirt embankment below the Sunrise Boulevard off-ramp and struck a Toyota 4-Runner causing both cars to flip. This led to a chain reaction of collisions that included a Toyota Corolla, a Subaru Outback, a Toyota Camry, and a Toyota Tundra.

Paramedics responded to the scene and treated at least two individuals with injuries. One of those injured was transported to a nearby hospital for follow up care.
The massive wreck impaired traffic on the highway and off-ramp until tow trucks and police helped clear the area. At this time police are investigating the seven-car crash on Highway 50. They do not believe that alcohol or drugs contributed to the collision.
