SAN FRANCISCO, CA (May 23, 2022) – Two women were killed and another injured as they were walking down a sidewalk in San Francisco near the Yerba Buena Center Sunday evening, according to ABC 7.
The accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. near 3rd and Mission Streets when a taxicab collided with another vehicle in an intersection. The two vehicles entered the intersection at the same time, but details regarding the actual cause of the collision are unavailable at this time.
The collision caused the taxi to drive onto the sidewalk where the two women were walking. The scene caused the area to be blocked from traffic for several hours and police investigated the accident.
Officials say that drugs and alcohol were likely not involved in this accident.
