Two Injured In Newhall Crash On 16th Street

2 killed, 2-year-old boy seriously injured in Bakersfield crash.

Newhall, CA (September 10, 2024) A three-vehicle collision in Newhall occurred on Friday morning, September 6th, leaving two people with injuries. It happened just before 11:00 a.m. at the intersection of Orchard Village Road and 16th Street.

The three vehicles collided, for reasons that remain unknown, at the intersection of Orchard Village Road and 16th Street. The accident left the three vehicles blocking the intersection, causing traffic issues in the area, reports indicated.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived at the scene and found the three vehicles with major damage sitting in a field of debris at the intersection. They hurried to the vehicles to see if anyone was in need of medical attention. They found two people with serious injuries, according to reports. Paramedics transported both victims to a hospital to receive medical care for their injuries.

Officers are investigating this collision and are determined to not only uncover what caused the accident, but also who was responsible. A tow truck was seen at the scene removing at least one of the damaged vehicles from the roadway.
