Las Vegas, NV (October 25, 2024) A devastating, wrong-way collision occurred early this morning on Interstate 11 in Las Vegas. The collision occurred just before 3:00 a.m. at Boulder Highway. One person was killed in this tragic collision and reports indicated that several other people were injured.
It was 3 o’clock in the morning as vehicles traveled along Interstate 11 in Las Vegas. Suddenly, a vehicle began traveling south in the northbound lanes. It collided with at least one other vehicle, head-on. The collision left the vehicle blocking lanes of traffic and debris covered the roadway.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the vehicles with major damage sitting in the middle of the northbound lanes of the freeway. They made their way to the vehicles, ready to give life-saving treatment to anyone in need. Sadly, they found the passenger in the wrong-way vehicle with fatal injuries. With heavy hearts, they pronounced her dead at the scene and requested a coroner. Several others were transported to nearby hospitals with moderate to serious injuries, reports indicated.

Officers closed the northbound lanes of traffic, following the collision. Once the victims had all been transported to hospitals, they began investigating the scene. They are working to better understand what took place on that stretch of freeway to cause this crash. Tow trucks were called to remove the damaged vehicles from the scene and crews cleaned up the debris and glass as quickly as they could.
