San Fernando, CA (July 18, 2024) A terrible collision occurred on Monday, July 15 in San Fernando. One person was tragically left deceased.
The accident happened on Mission Boulevard and Hollister Street around 8:25 p.m. that night. Three people in two vehicles were involved in the crash. One of the cars veered into a telephone pole, and an occupant of one of the vehicles had to be freed by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A juvenile was involved in the crash, but they did not sustain life-threatening injuries. Another victim was sent to the hospital in critical condition. Tragically, a third victim, a resident of San Fernando, passed away. Her name was Yadira Caamal, and she was 45 years old.
The Los Angeles Police Department has reported that the crash is being considered a vehicular manslaughter case and is under investigation.
