GOLETA, CA (August 30, 2022) – A young boy was killed in Goleta after being struck by a car, reports KEYT News.
The accident occurred Tuesday around 2:50 p.m. on Nectarine Avenue according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
When emergency response arrived to the accident scene, deputies found the boy suffering from major injuries and transported him to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
The collision is currently being investigated by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office Major Incident Response Team.
The boy’s name and age are currently being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
No other information regarding the vehicle, driver, or involvement of mind-altering substances are available at this time.
