Yvonne Joby, Yasmeen Jobeh, Jennifer Dagher killed in DUI accident in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, CA (May 25, 2022) – Three Ventura County women – Yvonne Joby, Yasmeen Jobeh, and Jennifer Dagher – were tragically killed in a crash by a suspected DUI driver.

The crash occurred on Highway 118 in Granada Hills on the night of May 14, according to VC Star.

The official cause of death in the two-vehicle collision is yet to be revealed pending further investigation. The women’s names were recently released after their identities were confirmed by family.

Police responded to multiple calls on the night of May 14 around 11:55 p.m. reporting an accident that occurred on Highway 118 near the 405 freeway. The women were in a 2003 Mercedes-Benz C240 sedan when it was struck by a 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL550 convertible. The sedan the women were in burst into flames as a result of the accident.

Witnesses say that the women were stopped in the right lane of the road when the accident happened. All three unfortunately died at the scene.

The man driving the other vehicle has been identified as Karen Gharibyan, 63, of Glendale. He was taken to Providence Holy Cross Hospital for treatment of his injuries and has since been arrested for suspicion of DUI and murder.
