WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (November 29, 2022) – An 18-year-old was killed Sunday on Highway 160 after being struck by a 20-year-old woman suspected of drunk driving.

The woman was headed northbound on SR-160 in a 2004 Subaru when she drifted onto the northbound lanes of the road. California Highway Patrol officers say that around 9:30 p.m., she collided with an 18-year-old driving a 1998 Honda near SR-12.
The 18-year-old male was pronounced dead as he was being transported to the hospital at UC Davis Medical Center.
CHP officers arrested the woman after she showed signs of being drunk and was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI.
