Sacramento, CA (December 5, 2023) 26-year-old Alethea Lee was arrested on Friday night for a DUI after hitting three pedestrians. She injured 2 children and killed their mother. The deadly accident took place along Pocket Road near Greenhaven Drive just after 6:00 p.m., according to the Sacramento Police Department.
Alethea, believed to have been driving under the influence, and hit three pedestrians, authorities said. A woman and two children were not able to get out of the way and were hit by Lee’s vehicle. Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the woman with life-threatening injuries. Her two children also sustained injuries from the collision.

All three victims were taken to a local hospital to receive treatment. The two children survived, but the mother succumbed to her injuries and passed away at the hospital two days after the collision.
Alethea Lee was also injured in the collision and taken to a hospital. Once she was released, officers arrested her and booked her into the Sacramento County Jail. She faces charges related to driving under the influence and causing great bodily injury, officers reported. She will also be charged with gross vehicular manslaughter.
The two children may have survived the collision, but they lost so much on Friday, December 1st, when they lost their mother.
