Carlie Membrino, 23, Killed In Cabazon Car Accident

1 killed, 1 injured in collision during police pursuit in Anaheim.

Cabazon, CA (October 4, 2024) A 23-year-old named Carlie Membrino was tragically killed in a terrible accident on Thursday in Cabazon. It happened at about 9:30 p.m.

CHP reports that they noticed a motorist in a Ford Mustang driving the wrong way on Seminole near Apache Trail. They attempted a traffic stop, but a pursuit ensued instead. A roughly mile-long chase took place at speeds of about 90-95 mph.

Membrino was stopped at the intersection of Seminole and Malki when the Mustang, still fleeing the police, slammed into the rear of her car. The Mustang then skidded into a gas station and started a fire.

Paramedics tragically determined at the scene that Membrino had succumb to her injuries. The Mustang driver was taken to a hospital. Officials have not yet released details about what type of charges might be brought against him.
