Marianne Brown Killed By Drunk Driver In Arlington

DUI driver suspected in head-on crash on Interstate 80 in Placer County.

Arlington, TX (December 10, 2023) A 75-year-old grandmother, Marianne Brown, was hit and killed by a drunk driver 11 minutes from her house in Arlington.  44-year-old Guerrero Madrid-Salgado, struck Marianne just after 9:00 a.m. on the back roads of Arlington. Madrid-Salgado is now in jail and Marrianne Brown’s family are mourning the loss of a mother and grandmother.

Brown’s daughter, Elizabeth Hudec, said that she and her mother had discussed her using back roads instead of highways and interstates because they felt it was safer. Brown was driving on one of these less traveled back roads when she was hit head-on by a drunk driver, authorities said.
