The police were called to South Palm Canyon Drive in the early hours of Tuesday morning. They found Haley in the driver’s seat of her car, which was facing the wrong way and partly off the road. The police think she was driving the car while drunk, and they also found out that she had lost her driver’s license and was on probation for a previous DUI.
The police tried to arrest Haley, but she resisted. She hit an officer with her head and tried to kick out the windows of the police car. She also spat on some officers who were trying to hold her down, and later on, emergency medical staff who were trying to check if she was hurt.
Haley is now in custody at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning, and she has to pay $10,000 to be released on bail. The police chief said that it is very frustrating to see someone who has been caught for DUI before continuing to break the law and endanger other people’s lives. According to court records, Haley has not been convicted of any crimes in Riverside County before.
