NAPA COUNTY, CA (June 24, 2022) – Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, has been charged with DUI for a Napa County crash that we reported on a few weeks ago.
The New York Times reports that the charges include DUI causing injury and driving with 0.08 blood alcohol content or higher causing injury. Paul Pelosi had a BAC of 0.082 nearly two hours after the crash according to the Napa County District Attorney’s Office.
The charges brought against Mr. Pelosi can be filed as misdemeanor or felony charges. Given the nature and extent of the injuries, however, the charges were filed as a misdemeanor.
Paul Pelosi can face up to five days in jail and five years of probation. He is due back in Napa County Superior Court on August 3 to be arraigned.
The DUI accident that led to Pelosi’s arrest occurred on May 28, when he was leaving a private party and heading back home in his 2021 Porsche 911. As he attempted to turn left to cross State Route 29, his car was struck by a 2014 Jeep. The details of the injuries sustained by either Pelosi or the other driver are unknown.
