Pedestrian With Walker Hit In Fresno

Pedestrian struck and injured in Fresno, DUI could be to blame

Fresno, CA (September 20, 2023) A pedestrian using a walker was hit by a vehicle while crossing the street in Fresno on Tuesday morning. Fresno Police said that they had to close Hughes Avenue between Cornell Avenue and Weber Avenue following the accident.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene and transported the pedestrian to Community Regional Medical Center via ambulance. The Fresno Police Department said the pedestrian sustained serious injuries in the collision and their condition is unknown.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Police say the driver didn’t have a valid drivers license and was evaluated for DUI.
