RIALTO, CA (June 15, 2022) – Priscilla Hernandez, 40, of Colton, was tragically killed by repeat DUI offender Richard Madrid, 38, of Fontana in a DUI crash according to Mercury News.

Priscilla Hernandez, a mother of three, was a passenger in a vehicle driven by her husband when Madrid crashed into them in his Mercedes C63.

The accident occurred on June 8 around 9:15 p.m. on the 300 block of North Riverside Avenue.

Authorities say that Madrid was speeding in his Mercedes heading northbound on Riverside Avenue while Hernandez was traveling eastbound in a
Chevrolet HHR. Madrid struck the Chevrolet, seriously injuring the driver and Hernandez.

Both Priscilla Hernandez and her husband were taken to a nearby hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Richard Madrid was also taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries, then arrested and booked for murder and suspicion of DUI. His bail was set at $2.5 million.

Investigators learned that Madrid already had four previous DUI convictions within the last 10 years, one of which put him on probation from 2016 through 2019.
