SANTA BARBARA, CA (September 15, 2022) – Ray Oberholzer, 25, of Santa Barbara, was arrested Friday morning around 1:30 a.m.
Police investigating the collision discovered Oberholzer driving a Ford sedan at high speeds while exiting Highway 101 at Castillo Street.
While attempting to turn left onto Castillo Street, Oberholzer crashed his vehicle into a retaining wall. Oberholzer and his front passenger sustained minor injuries, but a rear passenger sustained more serious injuries and was hospitalized.
Ray Oberholzer was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. He was arrested and booked for felony DUI causing injury.
