Tracy, CA (April 23, 2024) The community of Tracy was saddened by news of a senseless accident that claimed two lives and injured another. 24-year-old Reva Moses and 18-year-old Torrance Randle Jr. were both killed in this accident, which was caused by a DUI driver, officers reported, on Sunday morning, April 21st. It all happened at the intersection of Holly Drive and East Laguna Drive at approximately 5:20 a.m. The intoxicated driver was arrested at the scene.
Initial reports indicated that a gray Dodge Charger was driving near the intersection when the driver suddenly veered towards a parked Chevrolet pickup truck. The Dodge slammed into the parked pickup at a high rate of speed. The sound of metal colliding and glass shattering could be heard throughout the neighborhood.
Officers received the 911 call and EMS hurried to the scene. Upon arrival, they found both vehicles with major damage. The Charger’s front end was completely smashed and destroyed. Paramedics rushed to help any occupants who might need medical attention. Sadly, they found 24-year-old Moses deceased in the vehicle and pronounced her dead at the scene.
Randle was rushed to a local hospital via ambulance with life-threatening injuries. The medical staff did everything they could, but the victim’s injuries were too severe and he succumbed to them. With heavy hearts, the medical team pronounced Torrence Randle Jr. dead at the hospital.
A 15-year-old boy was also injured in the collision, officers reported. He was taken to a local hospital, via ambulance, with serious injuries.
The driver of the Dodge Charger, identified as 24-year-old Tracy resident, Iman Gullatt, exhibited signs of intoxication at the scene. Officers placed Gullatt under arrest for suspicion of drunk driving.
Tow trucks had to haul both vehicles from the scene and crews worked to clear the area of glass and debris. The community remains saddened by the senseless loss of life caused by this DUI accident.
