A man and a woman were walking behind Dollar Tree as a vehicle approached them. It was the middle of the night, so everything was dark, but the pedestrians were not walking in the street and didn’t feel there was any danger. Suddenly, the vehicle, driven by 25-year-old Cameron Aguilar, veered off the roadway and onto the shoulder as it turned onto Fern from Maroa. Before the pedestrians even realized what was happening, they were struck by the vehicle.
