VICTORVILLE, CA (June 23, 2022) – A worker on the Green Tree bridge project was killed in an accident by an excavator when it tipped over and fell onto a semi-truck he was in.
Victor Valley News reports that the excavator had fallen on top of the semi-truck, causing the man inside to be trapped. Firefighters who had arrived to the scene said that the man would need extensive extrication to free him from the vehicle.
However, the man inside died later before emergency crews could release him from the truck.

The Green Tree bridge project is intended to connect the City of Victorville and the town of Apple Valley by extending Green Tree Boulevard via the Yucca Loma Bridge.
The identity of the man killed on the construction site is being withheld pending investigation and notification of next of kin.
