Covina, CA (November 24, 2023) 2 people on a motorcycle were killed in a multiple vehicle collision on Thanksgiving Day, according to police officers. The fatal crash occurred right at 5:00 p.m. on Amar Road at Westport Street in west Covina.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene and found two people and a motorcycle on the roadway. Two other vehicles were involved in this fatal collision. The drivers stopped and cooperated with authorities following the accident. Paramedics arrived at the scene, ready to use life-saving measures on the two people who had been riding the motorcycle. Sadly, they were both pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. Their identities have not been released and are awaiting notification of their next of kin, according to authorities.
Officers had to shut down the road for a while as they waited on the medical examiner to arrive. Investigators worked the scene in search of evidence and crews had to clean up debris from the roadway. The damaged motorcycle was removed from the scene.
Authorities are not certain what caused this fatal accident in west Covina, and the accident is still under investigation.
