Riverside, CA (November 21, 2024) – A 33-year-old motorcyclist named Jose Lucero was tragically killed when he crashed with a vehicle on I-215 in Riverside on Wednesday.
When the crash occurred around 3 p.m., the victim was ejected from his bike onto the roadway. It happened near Center Street.
CHP reported that Lucero was riding southbound at an unconfirmed speed when he came upon stopped traffic. He lost control of the bike, veering to the right and going down in front of a semi-truck that struck him.
A trauma surgeon who happened to see the crash tried to help Lucero, attempting resuscitative measures until Riverside County Fire Department paramedics arrived. Tragically, however, the victim succumbed to his injuries.
