San Diego, CA (October 3, 2024) Jose Ruan Lopez was tragically killed when he rear-ended a box truck that had stalled north of Otay Mesa Road. He was only 20.
It’s unclear why the box truck was stalled in the road, but sadly, Lopez was unable to avoid it around 4:30 a.m. on Monday. Paramedics sadly pronounced him dead at the scene.
No details were released about the driver of the box truck. It’s also not clear if speed had anything to do with the collision.
