Westlake, CA (October 28, 2024) A hit-and-run collision in the Westlake area of Los Angeles claimed one person’s life on Monday morning, October 28th, 2024. A man on a minibike was struck and killed by a vehicle at Arapahoe Street and Olympic Boulevard around 1:43 in the morning. The driver of the other vehicle fled the scene, following the collision.
Many would consider 1:43 a.m. the middle of the night. However, motorists were still traveling along Las Angeles roads. In the Westlake area, a man rode a minibike, approaching the intersection of Arapahoe Street and Olympic Boulevard. As he went through the intersection, he was struck by another vehicle, according to police reports. The driver of the other vehicle quickly fled the scene, leaving the victim with life-threatening injuries.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the rider on the ground. Sadly, he had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities. It was obvious that the minibike rider had been struck by a vehicle, but no one was around, officers reported, making this collision a hit-and-run.
Detectives continue to investigate this accident in an effort to find the vehicle responsible. They are also determined to find the driver responsible for this deadly hit-and-run collision.
