Roseville, CA (June 10, 2024) A collision in Roseville between a motorcycle and an SUV left the motorcyclist with serious injuries on Monday morning. At approximately 9:48 a.m., a motorcycle and an SUV collided in the westbound lanes of Interstate 80, near Douglas Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A red Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling along Interstate 80 on Monday morning when it was struck by a grey Chevrolet Suburban SUV. The motorcyclist went down in the middle of the interstate and sustained serious road rash, officers reported. The motorcycle had sustained moderate damage in the collision and laid on ground several feet from the rider. The driver of the SUV stopped and waited with the motorcyclist until authorities arrived.
Paramedics hurried to the motorcyclist and found that he had significant injuries. He was loaded into an ambulance and taken to Sutter Roseville Medical Center to receive treatment. The Harley Davidson motorcycle had to be loaded onto a flatbed truck and removed from the scene, officers reported. The motorcyclist is expected to make a full recovery.
Officers gathered evidence at the scene and spoke to the driver of the SUV, as well as witnesses, and are determined to figure out what happened.
